• There are endless applications for Animal Communication. Common applications for companion animals include behavior, health, deepening connections, preparing for a health procedure, travel, diet, introduction of a new family member (human and animal alike), family dynamics, end of life, loss of a family member, moving, transition of any kind, communicating with animals in spirit, honoring their preferences in relationship to veterinary care and the list goes on.

For service, working, and therapy animals, applications may include performance, behavior, quality of life/work-life balance, retirement, therapeutic attunement to clients, and much more.

  • I have a deep respect for veterinarians and all the incredible work they do for animals and their humans (I wanted to be a veterinarian when I was younger, but it takes a special kind of human for that work, and that is not my path).

My role as an Animal Communicator is different than a veterinarian. I’m here to be a voice for your companion, to convey what they’re feeling, what they want, and any physical or emotional discomfort they may be experiencing (if they choose to share it). I don’t diagnose, but I can often sense areas of sensitivity or concern and how your animal wants to engage with care.

Animals communicate to me in many ways about their preferences around veterinary care. Some are open to holistic approaches, some want clear pain management, and some don’t want to think about it at all. Some feel safe at the clinic, others prefer to stay home in your care. It’s always unique to the individual animal.

No single professional has all the answers, but when you bring together vets, holistic practitioners, and your companion’s own voice, you create the most thoughtful, compassionate, and comprehensive support possible.

  • I communicate with animals telepathically and telempathically (meaning I can feel what they feel). I may receive messages, images, and knowings while connecting to animals on a soul level. I translate these communications for the human so we can engage in dialogue. I do not need to be physically present with an animal to communicate with them, nor does the animal need to "speak" English, as I am connecting with them energetically.

  • Every reading is unique, and the experience your animal shares can vary depending on the communicator, including me. Here are a few factors that will impact each individual reading, as well as influence the messaging I provide:

    • Presence in the moment: All readings occur in present time, meaning I’m tuning in to what your animal is feeling and experiencing right now, rather than relying on past assumptions or interpretations. This means that any reading you have had before may not be relevant right now or, if you have changed your behavior since the last reading, the animal’s energy/thoughts/behavior may have shifted, too.

    • A fresh perspective: I bring my own lens and life experience to each reading. What your animal shares with me is interpreted in only a way that I, as a unique being with unique experiences, can interpret. Another animal communicator with other life experiences may not receive or interpret the same information. Know that whatever information you receive in your reading is exactly the message you are meant to hear in that moment.

    • Deep trust and connection: Because of my background in therapy, healing, and holding intense, emotionally-charged spaces (both professionally and personally), animals often feel safe sharing things they haven’t trusted others with. I take the time to sit, build trust, and really get curious about your companion - whether it’s understanding a quirky habit, an unknown medical issue, or something subtle they’ve been trying to communicate.

Simply put, a reading with me is a space where your animal can fully show up, and where you can hear them in a way that feels clear, grounded, and deeply personal.

  • Honestly, you have to experience telepathy to decide for yourself. What I can say is - you can’t make this shit up.

Animals show me the insides of their homes (homes I’ve never been in) with detailed accuracy; they tell me of medical procedures, losses, and upcoming changes with their humans that there is no way for me to know.

It’s normal to be skeptical and question an animal communicator’s work as it is only now beginning to be more commonly practiced; there is also a long history of folks being scammed by spiritual practices, especially women (find more info here and here about the gendered differences in scams). However, more research is being done to explore how we telepathically and energetically interact with our animals. M.J. Barrett specializes in this scientific work.

In and between humans, telepathy is also gaining ground in research. The Telepathy Tapes are a great place to get your feet wet if you’re curious to learn more about this skill.

  • While my heart goes out to anyone searching for a missing animal, I do not offer missing animal sessions.

  • It’s honestly impossible to pick just one. I’ve been part of nearly the full circle of life: growing up with my dad crabbing and hunting, and him dressing rabbits in the living room and deer in the front yard; animal husbandry through farming + helping process chickens, as well as beekeeping + living through the joys of harvesting and the devastation of robbing; doula-ing my soul cat Mau Mau out of this world.

I’ve peed next to a marmot above treeline in Yosemite. I’ve been welcomed to take part in a Navajo (Diné) ná'á'ah ceremony. I’ve dived with turtles, and swam with manatees. Every interaction, every moment, has been sacred. Each experience carries its own miracle, and I carry reverence for all of them, no matter how big or small.

  • For sure - it’s at the very bottom of this page. You can thank my mom for saving it for 30 years.

Frequently Asked Questions

About Sessions & Logistics

  • I am in the Eastern Time Zone (EST). All Zoom calls will be scheduled at EST unless otherwise stated. Although, I always consider your time zone when scheduling and do my best to include it in correspondence as to eliminate confusion.

  • I do not issue refunds, although I am flexible with rescheduling. You can reschedule up to 24 hours in advance before your scheduled session time. You are also welcome to transfer the session to a friend up to 24 hours in advance of the scheduled session time. I will need to hear from both of you via email for the transfer to take place.

  • I do not offer refunds for readings or healings.

If an animal did not do much communicating during a session, we may just need to schedule another session - some animals are slow to open up, just like humans!

If you did not like your reading, I encourage you to sit with what came up for you during the session. Sometimes it’s not about liking or disliking the messages; often it’s about noticing something your animal wanted to share that touches a part of you that needs reflection or attention. Did you hear something hard to accept? Did a message feel deeply personal? That’s usually where the insight is hiding. Take the time to really process and reflect before reaching out. Often the “discomfort” is exactly what’s most meaningful.
